Effect of ancillary ligands on Ru(II) on electronic delocalization in ruthenium(II) bisferrocenylacetylide complexes

Polymers and oligomers incorporating metal groups linked by conjugated moieties are interesting due to the potential for metal-enhanced charge transfer along the backbone. The effect of ancillary ligands of RuL(sub4)(C=CFc)(sub2) (Fc = ferrocenyl) compounds on the electronic interaction of the terminal redox groups, is reported.
