Abstract
- The US Customs Service has fined UK's Cunard Lines Ltd $105,000 for violating US' cabotage law. Cunard Lines' cruise ship Queen Elizabeth 2 was found to have picked up passengers at one US port and disembarked them at another US port, a clear violation of the Passenger Services Act of 1886 (PSA). The shipping line is appealing the penalty claiming that the QE2 had planned to abide by the PSA.
