Abstract
- Officials of the National Collegiate Athletic Association have been working with the FBI to encourage college athletes to avoid gambling on college sporting events. Federal indictments for point-shaving have been made against players at Northwestern, Columbia, and other universities. One in four college athletes have, according to a recent survey, have bet on games through a bookmaker and nearly 4% have bet on games in which they played.
