Abstract
- A national student group called the Council for Secular Humanism has helped organize chapters at 70 colleges for those who deny or question the existence of God. The council's magazine, Free Inquiry, has increased its subscription from 30,000 in 1994 to 50,000 in 1998. Secular humanists feel scientific reasoning, history, and personal experience can create reasonable guides for life.
