Abstract

Treatment planning with antisocial personality disordered patients in correctional settings can be improved through use of two tests. The Hare Psychopathy Checklist-Revised (PCL-R) and Rorschach Test help clinicians to make diagnoses and assess treatment amenability. Screening, assessment and treatment planning are important parts of trying to use available services to best advantage, an especially critical issue in correctional settings. Their use helps to target areas for intervention so resources can be used in the best way. With the Rorschach, they can better monitor treatment progress.
