Abstract
- Ice-contaminated-tailplane stall (ICTS) should not be mistaken for wing stall as using the same recovery techniques can aggravate the situation. ICTS management techniques are the opposite of wing stall recovery techniques. Major considerations in ICTS include watching out for elevator buffeting, control force reduction and reversal. Many people have died from ICTS because of mistakes.
