British tabloids face scrutiny by government on privacy issues

Abstract
- The united Kingdom Information Commission's Office reported that over 30 journalists working for tabloid newspapers run by News Corp. used a technique known as blagging to secure personal information on individuals. It is reported that news Corp. has paid over a million pounds to settle lawsuits with individuals because of the intrusions.
