Abstract
- A study was conducted to examine the social construction of local authenticity in service industries. The managerial practices being used in constructing local authenticity are also outlined. The marketing practices include adapting employees' interactive manner, adapting employees' local explicit knowledge, using a local branding strategy, and applying a local branch design.
