Barely legal: is attraction and estimated age of young female faces disrupted by alcohol use, make-up, and the sex of the observer?

Abstract: A study was conducted to investigate the effect of age, gender, and consumption of alcohol of the observer on the estimation of age and attractiveness of female faces. A total of 240 persons in bars and cafes rated the attractiveness of composite faces of immature and mature females. Findings indicate that heavy alcohol consumption does not interfere with age-perception tasks in men.
