JICC coupon guide recommends upgrades at front end

The Joint Industry Coupon Committee recommends supermarket retailers upgrade their point-of-sale (POS) systems. By improving their POS systems, retailers will be able to take advantage of new technologies that will make their operations more efficient. For example, the additional information included in manufacturers' coupons gives retailers the ability to redeem the coupons electronically, which makes it easier to reconcile counts.
