An amine-functionalized MIL-53 metal-organic framework with large separation power for C[O.sub.2] and C[H.sub.4]

Abstract: The functionalization of a well-known MIL-53(Al) metal-organic framework with amino groups is reported. The approach increased selectivity of MOF in C[O.sub.2]/C[H.sub.4] separations by orders of magnitude while still maintaining a very high capacity for C[O.sub.2] capture.
