Abstract: Dental teams treated patients with facial injuries after the May 12, 2008 earthquake in Sichuan province, China. Creating oral and maxillofacial surgeon and dentist reserves can help improve disaster response especially since facial injuries make up a significant portion of earthquake-related injuries.
