Is it factual? Not really. Is it entertaining? Hardly. But the biopic is back

There has been a revival of interest in biographical films in the second half of the 1990s. Indeed, there are more than 30 biographical films under development in 1998, covering politicians, film stars, musicians and historical figures. Biographical films are mainly being produced in order to satisfy the great demand for new film material. Some observers believe that biographical films can never really be successful, as they are neither real biography nor real films.
