Abstract
- The structure, thermal stability and crystalline behavior of [([Fe.sub.0.9][Co.sub.0.1]).sub.67.5][Nb.sub.4][Gd.sub.3.5][B.sub.25] glassy alloy, displaying a two-stage-like glass transition phenomenon, are examined by using x-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. This glassy alloy has displayed high glass-forming ability, enabling the formation of glassy alloy rods with diameters exceeding 3.0 mm, high saturation magnetization, low coercive force and high fracture strength.
