Abstract: A study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of a group cognitive behavioral (CB) prevention program in preventing the occurrence of depression in adolescents. Results indicated that the CB prevention program was quite effective in controlling the onset of depression, but was found to be less effective in cases where one parent was also suffering from depression.
