Abstract

An efficient one-pot propargylation/cycloisomerization tandem process is developed for preparing substituted oxazole derivatives from propargylic alcohols and amides with use of p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate (PTSA) as a bifunctional catalyst. This method has provided an efficient access to substituted oxazoles.
