Effects of home-based diet and exercise on functional outcomes among older, overweight long-term cancer survivors: RENEW: a randomized controlled trial

A study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and benefits of telephone based counseling and mailed home-based diet materials in improving the functional decline among the elderly cancer survivors. Results indicated that such intervention was effective in reducing functional decline among survivors of colorectal, breast and prostrate cancer.
