Abstract
- The influence of coercion on the street youth's generation of violent crime is studied. Findings from prospective and cross-sectional offending models show a direct relationship between coercion and violent crime and one that is mediated by coercive ideation, coercive modeling, anger and low self-control. Implications for future development of theories and policy creation are also discussed.
