Stability analysis of semiconductor laser with phase-conjugate feedback

Numerical simulations, based on rate equations, were used to study the stability of the output power of a semiconductor laser with phase-conjugate feedback (PCF). The critical reflectivity exhibted a periodic structure, and stability was found to be enahanced at periodic peak positions. The times of nearby peaks corresponded to the frequency of the laser relaxation oscillation frequency.
