Abstract
- The 6Li-13C REDOR experiment is a study of the solid-state structure of the tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA) complex of fluorenyllithium. This experiment used Li-enriched samples with natural abundance C-signal which made data interpretation and sample preparation easier. It was observed that the dipole-dipole couplings between the Li cation and the C nuclei yield direct structural information. The position of the Li cation, with respect to the fluorenyl framework, is determined within plus-minus 0.2 angstrom.
