Abstract
- New Zealand's relationship with its East Asian neighbors has strengthened since the 1950s, but its dependence on both the US and China make it susceptible to shifts in US-China relations. Asian countries account for almost 40% of New Zealand's exports, replacing Europe as the country's biggest trading region.
