Judicial independence of Swat threatens integrity of Pakistan

Militant leaders in Swat have decided to declare judicial independence against the Pakistani government following the signing of the controversial Islamic Shariah law by the President of Pakistan. The integrity of Pakistan now appears to be hampered by this move by Islamic hardliners and strong militant leaders in Swat, who could discourage US from offering military support.
