Abstract

Two dyes with only a two-atom change in the structure of the dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are studied. The structure of the dyes and the values for iodine binding of similar compounds have shown that the change in [V.sub.oc] is because of the difference in iodine binding at the site of the two-atom change.
