Abstract
- Music Connection in the US has established a new website that allows people to create their own CD for no more than $19.95 by choosing up to 15 tracks from a database of 30,000 tracks. However copyright restrictions mean that most of the tracks available are old jazz and blues from two labels, Alligator and Fantasy. Meanwhile another company in the US, Liquid Audio, has pioneered software that allows people to download tracks from the net while ensuring that artists receive their rights money. A CD recorder allows people to press downloaded tracks onto their own CD in any order.
