Abstract

Optical absorption spectroscopy is used for studying the electric field driven dissolution of Au rods at moderately elevated temperatures in as-doped silicate glass. Electric field thermal poling has provided a good method for the controlling of structural and optical properties of noble metal-doped silicate glass.
