Abstract

Superconducting rectangular patch antennas of YBa2C3O7-y thin films and Cu films with an input-impedance of 50 ohms and a resonance frequency of 5 GHz were developed. The antennas' geometric form was determined using the moment method and a transmission line model. Results show that the Cu thin film patch antennas have higher return loss at 19 K than YBa2C3O7-y patch antennas.
