Electrodeposited CdTe-optical properties

Optical constant tests on electrodeposited films of cadmium telluride (CdTe) taken from opaque substrates and shifted to glass slides showed an optical dispersion identical to that of a single crystal CdTe. Perfect matches were also obtained for optical absorption coefficient of films and single crystals across various photon energy levels. However, a maximum of only three identical optical transitions were observed for E greater than 3.5 eV.
