Abstract

High speed machining is expected to create an impact similar to what numerical control did to the metalworking industry during the late 1960s. Some of the issues and technologies that are expected to emerge include the effect of high speed machining on cutting tools, electronic control and programming software and the benefits provided by the said technology.
