Ultratrace determination of atrazine and its six major degradation products in water by solid-phase extraction and liquid chromatography-electrospray/mass spectrometry

The use of solid-phase extraction and electrospray liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry techniques can help determine trace amounts of the herbicide atrazine and its six degradation products in groundwater, drinking water and surface water. The method is able to detect the presence of these compounds in river samples at levels down to 40-300 nanograms per liter.
