Abstract

A survey of 109 white and 40 minority women was conducted to find out whether ethnicity or the racial factor was an important determinant of the kind of symptoms or psychological characteristics of eating disorder. Results show that there is no relationship at all. Thus, treatment designed for Caucasians can be applied without modification to ethnic minority women suffering from the eating malfunction.
