Abstract

Georgia-Pacific Corp. has outsourced its transportation operations in an effort to cut overhead and increase its productive efficiency. The company's use of third-party logistics services, dedicated contract carriers, or a combination of the two has allowed Georgia-Pacific to cut its transportation costs by up to 10% at some mills.
