Abstract
- NASA will launch the 972-pound Orbiting Carbon Observatory (OCO) on February 23, 2009, to measure atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2), thus drawing a global CO2 profile that could help tackle global warming. The OCO will be part of the Afternoon Constellation, or A-Train, of Earth-observing satellites funded by NASA, France and Canada.
