Abstract
- Discount chains planning to discontinue buying clothing from Brittania Sportswear Ltd. include Shopko Stores Inc., Caldor Corp., Hills Stores Co., and Pamida Inc. Involved in the process of selling Brittania, Levi Strauss & Co. could not make definite commitments for clothing for the fall 1997 back to school season. KMart Corp. and Venture Stores Inc. retain plans to buy Brittania's products, which include men's underwear and denims for men and women.<br />With Levi Strauss & Co.'s Brittania Sportswear business sitting on the selling block since January, four regional mass merchandisers have decided to drop the line.
