Abstract
- The main issues on the agenda of the 105th US Congress to affect the chemical industry in 1997 are presented. The main issues refer to the federal budget, chemical weapons, energy, environment, the Food and Drug Administration, immigration, occupational safety, patents, product liability, regulatory reforms, and science and technology policy. The science and technology community is expected to lobby against the reduction of research and development budget.
