Abstract
- The use of the fluorinated alcohols trifluoroethanol (TFE) and hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) to facilitate the regioselective synthesis of pyrazole is reported. The pyrazoles obtained could be used as synthetic intermediates to prepare fluorinated analogs of tebufenpyrad, a commercial acaricide.
