Abstract

The 6A6B-bis-omicron-[p-(allyloxy)phenyl]-substituted beta-cyclodextrins were synthesized to determine the chromatographic properties of different cyclodextrin-oligosiloxane copolymeric phases. Analysis of two p-(allyloxy)phenyl]-heptakis(2,3-di-omicron-methyl)-beta-cyclodextrin indicated the presence of a self-inclusion complex in one of the compounds . Furthermore, the complexes are composed of seven glucose units with an unsymmetrical cylcodextrin cavity.
