Abstract
- The molecular structure of (1-hydroxyalkyl)dimethylphosphine sulfides were analyzed by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). The (1-hydroalkyl)dimethylphosphine sulfides exhibited centrosymmetric space groups due to the presence of racemate crystals containing conformational enantiomers. The sulfides are also stabilized by an anti conformational sulfur and oxygen that is located in the P-1-hydroxyalkyl bond with a nuclear magnetic shielding that is affected by intramolecular interactions.
