The stability of trade policy in the countries in transition and their integration into the multilateral trading system

The fall of Communism in Europe and the economic liberalization of communist countries in Asia have resulted to an increase in the number of countries interested in joining the World Trade Organization (WTO). The WTO should closely examine the application of these countries in transition to prevent potential problems regarding unstable economic policies caused by political instability.
