Abstract

Reunion has had good results at its Skorpion mine in Namibia and this could lead to a doubling of the company's share price. The mine could yield 900,000 tonnes of zinc and Reunion has an option of more than 60% for Skorpion, with Anglo American holding the remainder. A pre-feasibility study has to be carried out on the mine, and between $150 million and $200 million will be needed for the mine to be brought into production, though Skorpion's costs are likely to be low.
