Abstract
- The architecture for cooperative heterogenous on-line systems (Archon) provides a software framework that helps in the interactions between subcomponents of a distributed artificial intelligence. It also designs a methodology for structuring of these interactions. The problem solving entities of Archon, known as agents, control their own domain-level problem solving tasks and their interactions with other agents. Monitoring units are the smallest level of control in the agent's social know-how. The agent information management module stores the agent models and domain-level data.
