Abstract

A majority of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment (hvac) manufacturers appeared to disapprove of extended warranties programs for hvac equipment following a debate on the subject featured at the Northamerican Heating, Refrigeration and Airconditioning Wholesalers Assoc. meeting in Orlando, FL. Proponents claimed extended warranties fend off competition from utilities and private consumer demanded services.
