Abstract

The design and development of one-dimensional model for sound propagation in glow discharge plasma to arbitrary mutual orientation of the plasma electric field and acoustic wave vectors is reported. The results showed that an acoustic wave in plasma might amplify, attenuate, or remain unchanged depending on the angle between vectors and on the power input into the discharge.
