Filler triples output

Grupo Modelo de la C.V. brews nine beers in seven Mexican breweries. Modelo has a 58% share of the Mexican beer market. It has installed an $11.5-million can line in its Mexico City plant. The new line has deliberate overcapacity at the depalletizer, pasteurizer, tray packer, shrink wrapper and palletizers to allow continuous operation of the 2,000 can/minute 168-head filler. The equipment also triples canning capacity to 120,000 tray packs/day.
