Abstract
- Ruthenium phthalocyanine (PcRu)2 reacts with dioxygen under different conditions to yield a solid amorphous oxygen-containing aggregate, HO-((Pc)RuO)n-H. Large-angle X-ray scattering technique reveals the structure of this cofacially assembled ruthenoxane substance. Infra-red, resonance Raman, EPR, and magnetic susceptibility studies throw more light on its structure and electronic state. Its stability as a solid and in a solution of H2SO4 is discussed. The relationship between its structure and electrical conductivity is detailed.
