Recognition of cisplatin-DNA interstrand cross-links by replication protein A

DNA affinity chromatography was used to demonstrate the preferential retention of replication protein A (RPA) on cisplatin intrastrand and interstrand cross-link (ICL) containing DNA affinity columns. The results showed that preferential binding of RPA to cisplatin ICL DNA increased as the DNA length and stringency of the binding reaction increased.
