Abstract

A study was conducted to compare major events among patients who received continuous against those who received episodic amiodarone treatment in order to prevent atrial fibrillation. Results indicated that outcome of adverse events in both groups were the same but episodic treatment had a higher recurrence of atrial fibrillation and mortality.
