Abstract
- A comparison of numerical and experimental results of dynamic stall flow over an oscillating airfoil shows the use of transition onset point movements and transition length changes in predicting the extent of laminar separation bubble. The incorporation of these changes results in good agreement between the numerical and experimental data for the pressure and velocity distributions near the leading edge. The thin-layer approximations of the compressible, Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations give the numerical solutions.
