Danes adjust to secure the future

Denmark is a highly efficient food producer and an important food and drink exporter, ranking fifth in the world. To maintain their high standards and volumes, Danish companies invest heavily in research and development activities. Among Danish companies that continue striving for excellence and have close links with the UK are DFDS, otherwise known as the United Steamship Co., which produces and exports large quantities of pig meat to the UK using its own transport division, and dairy giant MD Foods, which accounts for 70% of Denmark's milk production.
