Abstract
- Chemists from the U.S., Spain and Italy have combined high-technology crossed molecular beam techniques with quantum mechanical scattering methods to obtain accurate analysis of reactions between Cl+ and H. Chemists were able to accurately investigate the chemical kinetics that leads to the formation of HCl during chemical reactions between Cl+ and H. The theories and techniques of quantum mechanics were combined with classical mechanics to produce simulations of the chemical behavior of chlorine and hydrogen.
