Abstract

The non-accelerating inflation rate of unemployment model maintains that labor market deregulation does not necessarily decrease unemployment, Data from 20 Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development countries show that labor market deregulation has zero impact on OECD unemployment. The possibility of a negative impact of labor market deregulation on unemployment is also studied.
